Dunnair is set to deliver a total of 9 package units and 2 split ducted units in February 2015 to provide for the upcoming Hervey Bay and Bundaberg oral health and cancer care centres. These medical facilities will benefit the surrounding communities whilst also catering for professional medical and nursing education for Queensland universities.

Working closely together with internationally renowned consulting engineers GHD and experienced contractors at MVO Services, Dunnair has succeeded in designing equipment suitable for this particular project.

The equipment to be supplied feature industry-leading German-engineered plug fans from Zeihl-Abegg, and also high quality corrosion protection to guarantee stable operation and longevity of the equipment; features which are crucial to the continuous operation of these Queensland Health facilities. It was also vital to ensure the configuration and footprint of the equipment was designed in such a manner that they were suitable for the relevant sites.

This demonstrates that Dunnair have the ability to provide for a wide range of applications including hospitals by ensuring products offered are always of the highest calibre and designed specifically for the application.

Dunnair were very proud to exhibit our range of commercial air conditioning equipment at ARBS 2014. Dunnair offer one of the most extensive ranges of commercial air conditioning equipment and we have earned the reputation in the industry as being an innovative company constantly developing new and exciting products to the HVAC market. ARBS gave us the opportunity to launch Australia’s first ever inverter water cooled packaged unit along with the opportunity to exhibit some of our other products which include air cooled split ducted & rooftop packaged units, water cooled split ducted and packaged units & our chilled water fan coil and air handling units. Another product we launched at ARBS was our energy recovery ventilators and our total heat exchangers.

Anyone with a few years in the HVAC industry will say there is no substitute for experience.

And when that experience is technical, you know you’ll be in expert hands.

In the grand tradition in moving from “hands-on to management” new Queensland state manager for Dunnair Australia, David Kovacs, sees his time a refrigeration technician as very positive for the business.

“Not only will I benefit from my background in the new role, so will my Dunnair customers,” Mr Kovacs said, “nothing can replace a solid understanding of the mechanics when it comes to specific applications and process.”

Mr Kovacs’ first task is to build a potent team for Dunnair’s operation in Queensland to better service existing customers and attract new ones to the Dunnair brand, which is rapidly expanding across Australia.

He will be ably assisted by Actrol, operating as Dunnair’s exclusive agent in Far North Queensland.

“Actrol and Dunnair both have long histories in the Australian HVAC industry,” Mr Kovacs said, “we share a commitment to delivering quality both in engineering and customer service.

I look forward to a great relationship together here in Queensland.”

Actrol is Australia’s largest wholesaler of refrigeration, air conditioning and allied industries, servicing the nation with 62 branches located in key metropolitan and regional areas.

In what has been described as a “compelling strategic fit” the Actrol Group was purchased by Reece Australia Limited in December last year.

Dunnair Australia has been selected as the supplier of air-conditioning equipment for the Billion-dollar Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre project.

This exciting new world-class cancer care facility, jointly funded by the Victorian and Federal governments, began construction in 2011 and is due for

completion in late 2015.

After working closely with Lehr (LCI) Consulting in the design phase, Dunnair will supply 26 WPR Water Cooled Horizontal & Vertical Heat Pump Type Units to meet their specific requirements.

“Dunnair is extremely proud to be selected for this important and prestigious project,” said Dunnair Managing Director Ernie Ugazio. “Our large water-cooled units are becoming the preferred choice for many consulting engineers as we can quickly manufacture to their exact specifications.”

The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre is being built on the site of the former Royal Dental Hospital, across from The Royal Melbourne Hospital in Grattan Street, Carlton, and will incorporate the relocated Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Buildings on both sides of Grattan Street will be linked by covered bridges, allowing patients, visitors and staff to move easily between the two facilities.

The VCCC will provide a world-class model of care for cancer patients by combining best practice from the Royal Melbourne, the “Peter Mac” and The Royal Women’s Hospital. The 42-bed Intensive Care Unit will double the capacity of the current Royal Melbourne ICU.

Mr Ugazio went on to say that being awarded contracts of this kind showed that Dunnair Australia is continuing to re-establish itself as a major air conditioning supplier to the HVAC industry in Victoria. “We believe that the combination of quality, competitive pricing and efficient bespoke engineering is proving to be a winning combination.”

Dunnair Australia has been chosen as preferred supplier to what’s been described as Darwin’s most advanced development complex ever.

‘Spirit on The Avenue’ is the next stage of a fully master planned, mixed use precinct including residential apartments, strata titled commercial tenancies, cafes, alfresco dining and retail opportunities including restaurants and a child care centre.

The Avenue will be identified by its twin 12-storey towers of one, two and three bedroom apartments. It has already become the Northern Territory’s first ‘EnviroDevelopment’ accredited project, awarded by the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA).

Dunnair has secured the use of both Dunnair & Gree chilled water Fan Coil Unit products to be used throughout these towers and facilities, with many units already installed.

“Dunnair is very proud to be part of this iconic project,” said Dunnair Managing Director, Ernie Ugazio, “the equation holds true – great quality plus a highly competitive price equals great value and that, in addition to our level of backup is what we believe won us this very large contract. We are delighted.”

The Swanston Square development is a prestigious apartment tower with retail tenancies and car parking on the lower levels, 27 levels of apartments and Skydeck, Cinema and Spa facilities at Level 31. The development is located on the former Carlton Brewery site at the northern end of Swanston Street and incorporates refurbishments of the existing Malt Store on the site.

Paying homage to the famous Melbourne laneways, the project will create several new laneways and a covered Winter Garden so as to mimic and preserve the distinctive urban-Melbourne experience.

Exclusive to Swanston Square residents, and sure to be the project’s most impressive accessory, is the planned Sky Deck, which will boast a cinema, spas, barbeque facilities and lounge area.

Dunnair is proud to be a part of this grand development proudly supplying our air conditions equipments.

Proven reliability and strong performance of our units along with ease of maintenance will ensure all year round comfort for years to come.
